The Role 

In this fast-paced processing position you will be a part of our Member Support team which is responsible for handling requests to update employee level records, bills, and other eligibility related items.  To meet production standards, you will utilize your technical aptitude and critical thinking skills across multiple systems. This mid-level position will provide insight into the world of group insurance administration while gaining new skills through a defined career pathing and development program. 



Main Objectives

  • Determines eligibility and confirms effective dates for benefit elections based on contractual guidelines.
  • Leverages critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create and modify member level records across multiple products, applications, platforms.
  • Maintains accurate member records by verifying dates, names, salary figures, and other information provided by groups.
  • Processes all member level changes and determines billing implications of those changes as necessary.
  • Applies policy provisions for effective dates, evidence of insurability requirements, and other pertinent information to determine necessary changes.
  • Processes basic projects related to eligibility management, such as but not limited to, open enrollments, amendments, billing mode changes, setting up new billing locations, acquisitions, and rehires.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience

  • High School or GED (Minimum Required)
  • 0 - 1+ Years of insurance office experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. (Preferred)
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret internal documents such as policy and procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Travel Amount: up to 15%
