The Role

The External Wholesaler- Fixed Annuity Products for the MGA/IMO will build and maintain strong business relationships with key sales clients to meet or exceed established sales goals, quotas, targets or objectives for his/her assigned external wholesale area(s) of responsibility. S/he will build, maintain and execute sales plans with firms and/or institutions in his/her the assigned territory (GA, NC, VA, TN) which result in an increase in sales revenue and market share within assigned area of responsibility.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes sales plans to increase sales revenue and market share within assigned firms/institutions.
  • Increases penetration in territory by optimizing and growing relationships within existing firms/institutions. Partners with fellow wholesalers to achieve sales objectives.
  • Cultivates, manages, and maintains firm/institution client relationships within assigned territory.
  • Increases/gains awareness of Lincoln's products and services with firms and/or institutions within his/her assigned territory.
  • Develops and executes plans to select appropriate key partners to promote Lincoln's products/services and optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Provides presentations, information, education, training, and advice on company's products and services to assigned firms/institutions.
  • Conducts site visits to assigned firms/institutions to achieve sales targets.
  • Provides sales support tools, sales and marketing ideas on Lincoln's products/offerings to assigned firms/institutions.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve sales objectives
  • Identifies and communicates any potential conflicts regarding Lincoln's products/services
  • Utilizes expense budgets to set limits and maximize sales opportunities within his/her assigned territory. Collaborates with internal stakeholders on proposals and/or distribution of relevant marketing materials.
  • Maintains sales call data in appropriate systems and/or complete sales reports. Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Develops and maintains a strong understanding of LFG's products, services and operational structure to enhance ability to identify and target sales growth opportunities for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Develops business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations.
  • Builds and maintains strong business relationships with key sales clients to meet or exceed established sales goals, quotas, targets or objectives for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.
  • Serves as a resource to internal/external stakeholders for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Adhere to LFD’s Culture of Compliance. Comply with LFD’s policies and procedures.

 

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience required
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 required
  • Life, Health License in all states within assigned region required

 

Experience

  • 3-5+ of experience years in Financial Services Sales that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Proficiency in Financial Services Sales, Wholesaling, Annuity Products, Relationship Management
  • Must live in assigned territory
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
  • Drives performance targets to completion
