Purpose/Description

 

The Strategic Business Process Sr. Consultant will provide subject matter expertise & direction on complex projects/initiatives. The role will focus on oversight of aligning the strategic objectives of the business unit while managing governance activities. The role will also contribute to directing prioritization of initiatives, effective communication, and strong partnerships across business unit & governance teams.

 

The Senior Strategy Consultant facilitates the development of actionable Distribution strategies and leads complex projects/initiatives designed to drive revenue growth, generate operational efficiencies and/or improve the customer experience. The role will focus on aligning the strategic objectives of Distribution while driving transparency through Distribution’s leadership governance.  This role also partners closely across Group Protection to design Distribution plans that align to the overall strategic opportunities and business objectives. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Researches and analyzes strategic areas of focus to identify distribution growth opportunities, develop business cases, and define executable implementation plans
  • Directly and indirectly scans the environment, enlisting resources within LFG and outside the company to identify risks and opportunities
  • Establishes frameworks to reassess and/or define Distribution’s vision, goals, objectives and initiatives
  • Designs actionable plans that reflect and are derived from the most significant objectives of Distribution, including working across organizational boundaries to include GP strategy, service, claims, technology and other areas of Lincoln
  • Creates implementable multi-year plans that link the distribution strategy to tactics and foster growth and profitability while ensuring business plans are consistent with Group Protection’s growth, financial and business objectives
  • Facilitates discussions and analysis to assess how environmental factors should be integrated into Distribution’s strategic plans
  • Ensures that Distribution plans and initiatives are tie to Corporate and Business Unit strategy, and fairly assess the economic and financial consequences
  • Creates compelling presentations and communications materials, and is able to present to all levels in the organization to gain buy-in

 

Qualifications

 

  • Excellent creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the Group Insurance industry
  • 5-7 years of demonstrated experience with strategic planning and/or market research and/or business analytics that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of the position
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, and demonstrated energy/drive
  • Ability to work with people across multiple disciplines to achieve results
  • Ability to work closely with senior leaders and to respectfully challenge the status quo and/or institutionalized beliefs

  • Up to 10%
