GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Sr. Consultant, Digital Analytics will be a critical member of Group Protection’s Digital Transformation team. As Group Protection continues to expand our digital capabilities, this role will provide subject matter expertise on digital performance by defining, monitoring, and analyzing key performance metrics across a portfolio of digital solutions. S/he will be responsible for understanding performance of both internally-focused digital tools and externally-facing digital systems of engagement (e.g. websites, mobile apps, etc.). S/he will perform in-depth analysis of key performance metrics and lead customer needs and customer satisfaction research, all to advance growth and profitability initiatives and deliver meaningful business results. S/he will collaborate with other members of the Digital Transformation team, and stakeholders from across Group Protection and the entire Lincoln organization, to ensure strategic recommendations are supported by strong data-driven insights.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates dashboards & scorecards utilizing existing and newly developed metrics and performance monitoring systems to provide management with quantifiable gauges of business results and impact of plans and tactical initiatives
  • Consults with management & business stakeholders on use of quality business analytics, tools, and market information (including Voice of Customer insights) to significantly affect the achievement of business goals
  • In a matrix environment, collaborates with various internal stakeholders to translate analytics into actionable tactics to support business objectives
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Serves as an ‘analytics champion’ educating the business to drive adoption and usage of data analytics to further business insights
  • Collaborates with IT & other stakeholders to evaluate current state of data and develop tactical plans to improve data management and resolve technical challenges impeding data availability, quality, metric consistency, and credibility
  • Partners with IT to develop data governance models and data warehouse assets
  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Advises management and stakeholders on design issues, capabilities, and/or system limitations; develops and recommends remediation plans


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 5 – 7+ Years experience in data, reporting, or analytics roles with a track record of positively influencing business outcomes (Required)
