GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

 

This position will consult, analyze, and deliver on moderate to complex Business Systems Analysis assignments and projects aligned to Group Protection IT’s Customer Installation and Reporting area.  S/he will act as a resource to applicable internal and external stakeholders. S/he will also consult and collaborate with business stakeholders to define and validate more complex information technology solutions that meet the needs, goals and objectives for her/his assigned area(s) of responsibility.  S/he will develop business client testing strategies and support testing efforts. S/he will lead and/or participate in calls with external stakeholders to elicit business needs.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Creates moderate to complex business requirements.
    • Develops business client testing strategies, plans test cases and conditions using HP ALM or similar tools, tests and monitors testing efforts.
    • Communicates with internal stakeholders.
    • Communicates with external customers, leads and/or participates in calls to elicit requirements and drive testing efforts.
    • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Consults and acts as a resource to appropriate internal/external stakeholders to assess and deliver technical solutions which meet business requirements which may integrate process, business rules, and business data with technology.
    • Escalates more complex issues/conflicts to management as needed.
    • Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with junior team members.
    • Provides a more complex understanding of the business usage of information technology (IT) to add value to the customer.
    • Performs testing as needed.
    • Queries data as needed.

 

ADDITIONAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines.  Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
    • Remains current in profession and industry trends.
    • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: Making suggestions for improvement and learning new skills, procedures and processes.
    • Performs other duties as required.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Minimum Required)
    • 2-4+ Years experience in business systems analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
    • 2-4+ Years experience in Insurance or Finance technology (preferred)
    • 2-4+ Years experience with reporting, data, querying tools (strongly preferred)

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • Travel Type: National Domestic
    • Travel Amount: up to 10%
