The Role at a Glance
As the Analyst, Sales Compensation for the Retirement Plan Services team, you will consult, analyze, and deliver on more complex assignments and projects. You will act as a resource to applicable internal and external stakeholders. You will provide more complex daily sales performance reporting and monthly variable compensation operations for assigned sales teams. You will also utilize applicable software system(s) to manage data integrations, business rules, reporting, issue resolution, and change management processes.
What you'll be doing
Technical Agility
- Builds and delivers more complex performance and variable compensation reports, using appropriate internal system(s) and other tools, as requested by Finance and Sales leadership
- Performs periodic audits to ensure the accuracy of all sales compensation and reporting outputs from the appropriate internal system(s)
- Leads issue resolution, exception and adjustment processing by researching more complex issues across multiple systems and consulting with management and other internal departments to provide resolutions
- Utilizes advanced quality control best practices to ensure that all variable compensation payments and performance results are 100% accurate
- Assists with issue resolution, exception processing, and analysis using the appropriate internal system(s)
- Manages the more complex ongoing sales compensation and performance reporting processes utilizing all applicable internal systems
- Produces and delivers more complex monthly data files to payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely incentive compensation payments
- Leads more complex change management initiatives around variable compensation and performance reporting including internal system(s) testing in collaboration with appropriate internal stakeholders
- Delivers more complex ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Supports annual compensation planning processes through the development and application of more complex models and forecasts

What we’re looking for
Must-Haves:
- 3 - 5+ Years of experience in sales support or related fields that directly aligns with the responsibilities of this position
- Proven experience with Sales Performance Management or Incentive Compensation Management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), prefer advanced Excel
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions
- Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances
- Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution
- Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
