General Purpose of Job

This role will consult and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. S/he will represent Lincoln and assist Sales by participating in site visits and finalist sales presentations for assigned accounts. S/he will also act as a key resource in resolving client issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Acts as a resource to support the RFP team in responding to Request for Proposal questionnaires, especially those related to claims types for his/her assigned area(s).
Assists in building the organizations claims capability for claims types for his/her assigned area(s). Identifies areas of improvement in claims handling and recommends workflow adjustments if needed
Participates in a variety of ad hoc projects to support the ongoing development and evolution of the Claims department.
Assists in ensuring details of offers for assigned prospects are appropriately considered during new case implementation.
Participates in providing real-time competitive information, including trends, non-core services, customer issues, and operational challenges, to the organization for consideration in future administrative offerings.
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers including claims management, account managers, sales offices, brokers, and clients.
Participates in site visits and finalist sales presentation for his/her assigned claims types. Collaborates with various functional areas to obtain information that addresses customer questions and concerns.
Partners with sales and claims organizations to effectively position products based on a prospective customers specific pain points and needs.
Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Consults with internal departments and sales regarding requests for claims performance guarantees.
Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Reviews requests for additional services and/or non-standard claim administration and collaborates with functional departments to determine business impact of pursuing various administrative alternatives.
Contributes to creation of presentations for brokers, sales offices, and customers that illustrate capabilities for claims types for his/her assigned area(s)
Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

3 - 5+ Years of experience in claims and/or leave administration directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role. (Required )
