We are excited to bring on a Premium & Billing Associate to join our Group Protection Operations Team supporting Workplace Solutions in a remote environment.

The Group Protection Operations Team will help you grow your group benefits knowledge and establish strong partnerships (internally/externally) while working in this fast-paced environment.
As a Premium & Billing Associate, you will perform and deliver on assignments and projects for their assigned area(s). You will provide customer service to assigned large, national accounts in partnership with account executives. You will review and evaluate accuracy of files, calculations, and payments submitted by customers. You will work with customers to resolve discrepancies and advise management of potential risks and financial implications. You will also address questions from team and provide training as needed. This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing
- You will manage manual processes for assigned customers including claims reimbursement activities such as setup, maintain & send reports, collect reimbursements, monitor & runoff credits, monitor base amounts, research claims issues as needed.
- You will review and configure applicable system(s) for customers as well as maintains account changes such as renewals, amendments, or billing setup change requests.
- You will maintain ongoing balancing of funding accounts, including daily EDT initiations for reimbursements and monthly reconciliation for claims and managed care.
- You will create and maintain self-billed templates, which are used by customers for monthly reporting of premiums.
- You will review and validate census information and communicates with customer, TPAs, brokers, and internal business partners to resolve any rating, plan, or billing discrepancies.
- You will review calculations and research any identified discrepancies to determine root cause(s); communicates findings to customer and advises on how to best resolve.
- You will coordinate with appropriate internal team and follow up to ensure any owed payments are received.
- You will provide information and support to management through the internal escalation process; proactively informs Account / Relationship Managers to keep them apprised of findings.
- You will mentor and provide training for new and less tenured employees; also responds to team members’ questions on policy interpretation, calculations, and findings.
- You will create, review, and analyze customer, vendor, and internal controls reporting in partnership with internal and external business partners, including IT.
- You will complete UAT testing on new & existing applicable systems/applications for the premium & billing department.
What we’re looking for
Must-have experience (Required):
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
- 0 - 1+ Years of billing and receivables experience directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role. (Required)
Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
- Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Pay Range: $41,500 - $74,100
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
