The Role

 

As a Financial Processor on the IAO In-Force Processing team, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, as well as some non-financial transactions, in regards to contract set up ensuring all information is complete and in good order. You will process and provide general information about these transactions in accordance with established procedures and guidelines in a timely manner while meeting deadlines.

  • Processes financial transactions such as withdrawals, surrenders, transfers and exchanges and non-financial transactions such as ownership, beneficiary and address changes
  • Reviews data and financial information to ensure information is complete and in good order
  • Enters data into appropriate systems
  • Escalates issues and/or concerns to more senior team members or management
  • Provides customer service to internal and external stakeholders and recognizes what needs to be done to meet customer needs while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness
  • Creates and maintains up to date procedural documentation
  • Supports and promotes change management as well as departmental and enterprise initiatives and suggests process improvements
  • Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards
  • Works overtime as needed

 

Education

 

  • High School diploma/GED

 

Experience

 

  • No prior experience required
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
  • Drives tasks to completion
