The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on Payroll Implementation Associate to support the RPS Ops Administration Payroll team. This will be a remote, work from home opportunity. 


Background Details 
As the Payroll Implementation Associate, you will support the implementation and on-boarding processes of payroll implementations for new clients/customers and provide guidance to team members. If this sounds like a role for you, please read on! 

What you'll be doing

  • You will review clients’ plan highlights document to determine specific tasks needed to on-board the plan in accordance with established and non-established procedures and guidelines. You will perform and/or assist with the on-boarding of new retirement plans, the development of deliverables, due dates, and milestones, and issue escalation requirements. 
  • You will determine when existing procedures and guidelines do not exist. You will work closely with management to develop and write new procedures and guidelines. 
  • You will partner with appropriate teams to resolve escalated issues posed by team members, leadership and our customers. You will also provide timely customer service, written and verbal, to internal/external clients/customers while proactively anticipating and resolving potential questions and/or concerns. 
  • You will provide guidance and training to new and existing team members on routine and non-routine questions and tasks. 
  • You will perform data analysis and data transformation for retirement investment systems to assist management with process improvement efforts. You will also proactively identify risks and process improvements to enhance the customer experience.  

What we're looking for

Must-have experience (Required): 

  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s). 
  • 0-1+ Years of general customer service and/or retirement plan experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated solid relationship management skills with internal clients including management, peers and colleagues. 
  • Ability to be adaptable/flexible as business needs change.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).   


Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):   

  • Retirement Plan knowledge and experience. 
  • Ability to evaluate information and the implications of a course of action or solution. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to work successfully with internal/external customers.
