The Role at a Glance
This role is responsible for supporting the Funds Management unit in the areas of project management, financial analysis, risk management, and business continuity. This role will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for Lincoln’s Funds Management team. The role will support cross-functional initiatives related to fund changes, fund launches, process improvements, risk management and business continuity.
The role will act as the liaison between Funds Management and third-party service providers and vendors. Role will perform financial analysis related to fund initiatives.
What you'll be doing
- Lead complex operational projects from planning to execution using standard project planning tools and methods.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments impacting funds management areas of responsibility, assessing the impact, and collaborating with management and partners to plan current and future solutions.
- Identifies key cross-functional issues and provides guidance with specific project issues.
- Supports risk management initiatives and ongoing risk reporting, including the development and monitoring of risk mitigation plans.
- Facilitates contract negotiations with third party vendors and service providers. Coordinates with procurement, legal and other internal stakeholders. Monitors and proactively manages contract renewals. Performs third party due diligence to mitigate risks to funds and Lincoln.
- Serves as subject matter expert on data governance and data integrity risk and controls.
- Coordinates with IT and internal partners on continuous improvement around data management, operations, and reporting.
- Performs financial analysis to support fund initiatives.
- Champions and enhances organizational initiatives and supports change management within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
What we’re looking for
Must Have’s:
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ Years of experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Ability to implement new processes from conceptualization to execution.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management concepts.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- High proficiency with Excel required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to understand database concepts.
Nice to have:
- Experience with building Tableau reports
- Experience with MS Access
- Experience with AWS

Pay Range: $87,700 - $159,900
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
