The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Training Specialist to support Annuity Operations business line as part of the Insurance Operations organization in a work from home environment. 

 

Background Details
As the Training Specialist, you will work with a team of other associates, specialists and consultants to develop, implement and evaluate training plans and programs to ensure organizational readiness for the Annuity Operations business for both new hires and experienced team members. You will create procedures, communications and learning materials to support projects and organizational initiatives. As a trainer, you will also be expected to cross train and be able to deliver training across the larger Insurance Operations organization. If this sounds like a role for you, please read on!

What you'll be doing

  • You will create, implement and evaluate training plans and programs to meet training objectives for new and experienced team members. You will be responsible for the learner’s success and preparedness to provide accurate information and deliver a great customer experience. You will be accountable for proper preparation before the commencement of each class, including updating training materials, developing detailed training schedules and refreshing training examples. You will also develop hands-on activities to build the trainee’s foundation of technical and process skills.
  • You will conduct, implement, facilitate and deliver training demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a variety of settings (i.e. classroom, remotely via Teams, etc.) to meet department training objectives using an engaging and interactive training approach with reinforcement activities. You will deliver training using a variety of approaches to address the various learning styles of the trainees. In addition, alternative approaches for training should be incorporated to reinforce training content and promote learner retention of content.  
  • You will also conduct training and ongoing employee training evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommend modifications where necessary. You will be responsible for delivering knowledge checks and exams throughout training to confirm level of understanding.
  • You will collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to address identified training gaps to support organizational performance, sharing knowledge with junior team members and peers. You will also partner and serve as a liaison to various teams to ensure training materials, procedures, plans and/or programs reflect business needs and organizational readiness.
  • You will identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives that reduce workloads or improve quality to enhance the customer experience. 

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s).
  • Experience in training that directly aligns with the specific responsibility of this position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence, training documentation and process/procedure documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills with internal clients including management, peers and colleagues.
  • Ability to be adaptable/flexible as business needs change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 


Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):  

  • Annuity In-Force and/or Annuity New Business experience.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Teams.
  • Proficiency in SnagIt and Verint.
  • Demonstrates solid project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.

The pay range for this position is $53,500 - $96,300 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
