The Role


This position will consult and deliver on service vendor projects/initiatives for his/her assigned area. This role will act as a resource on financial and operational controls of various service vendors.  She/he will partner with appropriate internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure the control environment is aligned with the service vendor audit program.   S/he will develop and execute more complex audit testing to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and controls, reliability of SOC-1 reporting and compliance with applicable law.  





  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Partners with appropriate internal stakeholders and management to strengthen the control environment and to address service vendor operational control deficiencies.
  • Tracks and monitors progress against the action plans. Develops and reviews test plans to ensure controls processes are consistently followed.
  • Partners with VMO team to execute remediation plans and close identified GAPS. 
  • Works with management across departments to implement key initiatives to ensure the proper financial and service vendor operational controls are contemplated, initiated, executed, and maintained.
  • Proactively liaises with internal stakeholders and management to anticipate and address service vendor internal control risks before they become an issue.
  • Serves as a first alert system to keep management and other internal stakeholders aware of unanticipated problems to be addressed and/or opportunities to be considered.
  • Conducts quality assurance review process on a periodic basis, including periodic testing to ensure controls are executed as documented in SOX process narratives or operational procedures.
  • Communicates with management on service vendor control activities and serves as a resource during projects & and process reviews to advise on implications regarding controls.


Education & Experience


  • 3 - 5+ Years of experience with SOX and/or financial/operation controls directly aligned to the specific responsibilities of this position(Required)
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology (Minimum Required)
