We are excited to bring on a new Manager to help lead our IT Service Desk team.

As Lincoln Financial group continues its technology transformation, the importance of the IT Service Desk function is crucial for continued success. As the IT Service Desk Manager, you will lead an already experienced and dynamic team working remotely and supporting all of Lincoln’s employees and associates through phone calls, self-service, chat and email.  Lincoln continues to mature IT Operations and support processes and this role is critical for driving continued success and finding new opportunities to improve our effectiveness.  This is a great opportunity for someone experienced or interested in IT Support and Leadership.  If this sounds like you, please read on!

What you'll be doing

 

  • You’re going to lead and mentor an amazing team of IT Service Desk Analysts.
  • Use and develop metrics and KPI’s to measure department effectiveness.
  • Oversee daily operations of the IT Service Desk to ensure proper staffing, training and communication are in-place.
  • Oversee Managed Service Provider performance for IT Service Desk support.
  • Encourage and promote innovation and offer ideas for execution and learning
  • Develop and lead process improvements to improve response and resolution times.

What we're looking for

 

Must Haves: 

  • 3+ years of team lead, managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience (Required)

 

Nice to haves:

  • Excellent understanding on ITIL methodology and best practices.
  • Proficient with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management tool.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvements to provide a better support experience to our customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Carries out duties in compliance with all state, federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends.
