The Role

This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex Business Analysis projects/initiatives for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. S/he will be responsible for serving as a resource for management to leverage to provide coaching, direction and feedback to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Advises and collaborates with key internal and/or external stakeholders to elicit complex business issues, determine root cause(s), and capture business needs.
  • Advises key internal stakeholders and provides appropriate direction to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects.
  • Designs complex business requirements for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Determines and recommends the most appropriate response to identified complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.
  • Determines complex best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
  • Develops communications with the purpose to provide transparency on how the department is tracking to goals.
  • Facilitates change to the organizations through the complex analysis, design and implementation of business processes that achieves business objectives.
  • Manages dependencies in and across Agile sprints and releases.
  • May develop communications to convey business and/or technical requirements.
  • May provide complex testing support as needed.
  • Provides complex research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to management or project leader.
  • Provides direction to other Business Analysts to ensure the effective execution of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provides expertise and collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to assess, select and recommend complex solutions and/or alternative approaches that will achieve business goals.
  • Reviews and resolves escalated issues and concerns for assigned area(s) of responsibilities.
  • Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with junior and/or peer team members.
  • Tracks status updates and metrics across various projects; reports progress to leadership.
  • Using structured requirements process, clearly articulates, documents and validates complex business requirements.
  • Validates that the solution meets the business need by developing complex acceptance criteria and plan to evaluate

Education & Experience

  • 5 7+ Years experience in business analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)in Information Technology (Minimum Required)
