The Role

 

This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. This position will collaborate with business & IT stakeholders to develop innovative technical enablement solutions to remove impediments on items like Test Data, Environment(s) and/or 3rd party systems. She/he will develop, build & manage service virtualization across multiple test environments with various complexities. S/he will be the overall owner of the Service Virtualization toolbox & own the support for it as others adopt virtualization.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Adheres to architectural and development best practices, including the proper use of code management, document design and design artifacts, and conducts design/code reviews.
  • Collaborates with testers, developers and architects on collecting requirements, payloads, data for service testing and service virtualization.
  • Creates complex virtualized service models & services.
  • Effectively builds and supports the organizations Service Virtualization products and capabilities (e.g. CA LISA, ParaSoft or other).
  • Facilitates smooth and successful implementation of service virtualization efforts.
  • Identifies areas of technical and process improvement within his/her assigned area of responsibility and develops resourceful solutions.
  • Leads the development of innovative approaches using the enterprise tools and current industry standards.
  • Participates in performance testing of services.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders and technical peers to discuss and resolve business, functional and technical issues.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to the design, definition, planning and development of service virtualization solutions.
  • Provides technical expertise through a hands-on approach to teams and projects.
  • Virtualizes protocols (REST, SOAP, MQ, JDBC and Java objects) and validates services using an open-source web service testing application or other tools by testing XML request and response data.
  • Works with IT teams to assess their current architecture and make recommendations on the appropriate approach for virtualization.

 

 

Education

 

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)

 

 

Experience

 

 

  • 5-7+ Years of experience in software development or software testing experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.(Required)
  • 3+ Years of experience with Service Virtualization tools and projects; and related technical experience such as Java or Rest API programming.(Required)
