The Role

 

This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. This position will design, configure, implement and support Test Data needs for various applications. S/he will champion an automation framework and solutions for test data creation, modification, governance and provisioning. S/he will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop detailed design recommendations and solutions, while executing against strategic plans and roadmaps to support Test Data Management.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Allocates and manages test data on all platforms using Test Data Management (TDM) tools.

• Automates test data refresh and creation processes.

• Collaborates with the Test Data team and/or test data requester on understanding and processing the test data requests.

• Designs and implements tools to provide self service capabilities and remove TDM from the critical path of the project.

• Drives test automation development.

• Identifies and implements optimization solutions for making the test data creation process efficient and faster. Recommends improvement in test automation practices, techniques and tools.

• Services more complex test data requests (Data Load/Protection/Account creation & conditioning) based on assigned priorities.

• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

• Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• Analyzes, designs, codes, debugs, integrates and tests increasingly complex software application solutions for systems.

• Determines how existing applications, systems, databases, interfaces and/or hardware can interact to meet new and emerging enterprise initiatives.

• Researches, develops, implements and maintains increasingly complex business application solutions.

• Identifies potential application solutions by understanding increasingly complex business/technical problems and opportunities.

• Analyzes increasingly complex systems specifications of existing programs to determine requirements.

• Documents increasingly complex programs and procedures.

• Provides input and validates increasingly complex project plans, test plans and implementation plans.

• Creates increasingly complex technical specifications from business requirements/business specifications.

• Prepares and/or generates test data.

• Tests increasingly complex program changes thoroughly to ensure accuracy.

• Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure that systems are designed, developed and implemented from a business point of view.

• Consults and/or participates in the requirements, design and coding walkthroughs to ensure the development of quality solutions.

• Investigates and resolves increasingly complex problems including providing support for production systems in a timely manner.

• Proactively identifies problems and presents/develops solutions

• Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and management.

• Defines detailed development tasks, task dependencies and estimates to complete work.

 

Education

 

• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of

Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience (Minimum Required)

 

Experience

 

• 3 - 5+ Years’ experience in IT/QA software testing that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 3+ years of experience using Test Data Management Tools (Required)

• Previous experience in test data protection efforts

• 3-5+ years of programming experience including Java (preferred), ETL and API development as well as mainframe experience (a plus) application development that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required) #LI-KM1
