The Role at a Glance
The UCC Operations Engineer serves as a de-facto expert in voice, messaging and collaboration workflows with a focus on automation, and modernization through digital transformation. Simply put: this engineer focuses on bringing people and work together by leveraging the Microsoft Office 365 Cloud and empowering users to be as productive as possible no matter which device or location they decide to work from. To realize success in this role the UCC Operations Engineer will need to leverage their technical engineering skills to re-think how businesses complete business tasks but with a focus on delivering a highly efficient, automation driven, operating model. The UCC Operations Engineer will work with client-facing teams to support Lincoln voice and messaging network environments, deliver efficiency by optimizing operating solutions to solve business problems with Microsoft 365, lead technical operational engineering support and be fully engaged with the Microsoft 365 Roadmap.
What you'll be doing
- Provide operation services and expert advice to all customers and colleagues with a focus on digital transformation of business workflows through a collaborative approach leveraging the Microsoft 365 productivity cloud; to bring people and the data that's important to them together.
- Implement and support Microsoft 365 workloads, including Microsoft Teams Voice, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams collaboration tools, Microsoft application integration leveraging the Microsoft 365 portal.
- Support Teams Voice services, projects and ongoing innovation.
- Triage and, if necessary, ownership of escalated technical support issues from colleagues throughout. You will be the highest level of technical operational support throughout the company!
- Development of baseline configurations for Microsoft Teams voice and messaging to implement and promote standardization across all customer environments.
- Documentation of baseline operation configurations, implementation process and best practices related to the design, implementation and support of capacity planning, alert and monitoring, and automation.
- Provide leadership oversight of support responsibilities for other Managed IT Operations personnel.
What we’re looking for
- Distinct expertise in Microsoft 365 ecosystem and services.
- 6+ years of administrative experience with Microsoft Teams.
- 5+ years of administrative experience with UCC technologies, including voice, messaging, and workplace collaboration experience.
- Seasoned experience with SaaS driven solutions, cloud driven network architecture and topologies, SIP and VOIP telephony solutions.
- An ability to work with little to no supervision yet still know when to ask for help to ensure positive outcomes.
- Microsoft certifications are highly desired.
- Experience in SIP, BVOIP, PSTN deployments of Microsoft Teams.
- Powershell and/or Power Automate skills with a focus on automating common tasks via script and/or Flows.
- Knowledge of Splunk, AWS, Azure AD, and SSL certificate administration.
- Experience with change management and service adoption strategies in live customer environments.

Pay Range: $75,701 - $140,700
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
