The Role



This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for e-sourcing events (e-RFx, reverse auctions, auctions and surveys). S/he will provide internal and market analytics to support development of category plans and provide market research on best practices of e-sourcing. S/he will also apply key learnings across categories.





  • Assists in the preparation of category business cases and cost models.
  • Champions the use of e-sourcing tools and maximizes the opportunity to exploit digital solutions throughout the sourcing process.
  • Designs and executes more complex e-sourcing events to include e-RFx, auctions and surveys in collaboration with category owners.
  • Develops new ways of working that fully leverages technology that focuses on continual savings/benefit to Lincoln.
  • Executes supplier performance management program for top suppliers in collaboration with category owners leveraging technology which includes setting up the workspace within the Ariba module, issuing surveys, setting meeting agendas and tracking progress.
  • Leads and supports e-sourcing activities across all categories, builds a pipeline of relevant e-auction initiatives.
  • Provides the various analysis required to support category managers in conducting analysis on both the marketplace and suppliers.
  • Researches and identifies best practices per industry standards for recommendation to, and review of, and incorporation by others.
  • Serves as a strategic sourcing resource on e-Sourcing technology, supplier engagement and event management while fostering continuous learning within the team and with internal/external stakeholders on best in class deployment of e-sourcing solutions.


Education & Experience


  • 3 - 5+ Years of strategic sourcing or related supply chain management experience. (Required)
  • 4 Year/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors) in (Minimum Required)
