The Role at a Glance

As an Analyst, Data Steward, you will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for Annuity Solutions.  In this role, you will function as the point of contact for data governance activities including the management of data definitions, master tables and data elements while achieving favorable data governance metrics. You will also be a point of contact for monitoring and managing data accuracy, security, and controls.

What you'll be doing

  • Participating in and facilitating meetings for the Annuity Solutions team.
  • Creating and utilizing data governance scorecards to support Annuity Solutions discussions and decision making.
  • Supporting the development of the Annuity Solutions vision and framework while remaining aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining definition, production, usage, classification, and compliance rules across multiple business units to support the enterprise management of data.
  • Communicating all data rules to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with data owners and data custodians to identify and resolve more complex data governance issues in a timely and collaborative manner.
  • Supporting the development of processes and procedures for Annuity Solutions and Stewardship.
  • Supporting the analysis and documentation of data capture standards associated with new products.
  • Serving as a resource to internal stakeholders on more complex Annuity solutions which optimize client requirements and achieve desired business results.
  • Escalating highly complex issues to management/Data Governance when necessary. 
  • Performing duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines.  Complying with all company and site policies and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as required.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 3 - 5+ Years of experience in the Annuity industry that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • Demonstrates proficiency with data warehousing and management reporting projects/initiatives.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style. 
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice to-haves:

  • Basic SQL programming knowledge and practice
  • Working knowledge of Tableau desktop
  • Prior experience using a data catalog or data governance tool

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
