The Role

This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. S/he will also act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. S/he will define more complex projects and/or programs based on a business need through research and analysis. The results and findings of the discovery/proposal process will be the basis for the future project.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders and business leaders to design business solutions which result in enhanced quality and reduced cost.
  • Identifies and/or validates if the proposed solution will meet the business needs.
  • Provides recommendations and guidance on more complex alternative approaches and/or solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develops and prepares business case and cost benefit analysis which includes the optimal solution/approach to meet the business needs.
  • Collaborates effectively with mgmt. & appropriate stakeholders on more complex issues or impacts to the business.
  • Identifies more complex departmental impacts and project resourcing needs.
  • Delivers consistent project artifacts/templates, techniques, and adherence in support of waterfall and/or agile projects.

Education

    • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
    • 3-5 Years of experience in Project Management required - Financial Service and/or Banking Industry Experience preferred

    • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. senior management, vendor and partners, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
    • Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate discovery and business case proposals with keen sense of attention to detail and delivery of a consistent, concise message
    • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
    • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
