The Role at a Glance
As a New Product Development Business Systems Analyst, you will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for Life Solutions.
You will act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. You will also consult and collaborate with business stakeholders to define and validate more complex information technology solutions that meet the needs, goals, and objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Consults and collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to determine more complex technical specifications from business requirements.
- Develops more complex technical configuration requirements.
- Using structured requirements process, clearly articulates, documents, and validates more complex technical requirements.
- Consults and acts as a resource to appropriate internal/external stakeholders to assess and deliver proposed more complex technical solutions which meet business requirements which may integrate process, business rules and business data with technology.
- Collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on more complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality, and risk of assigned projects.
- Determines and recommends the most appropriate technical response to identified more complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.
- Provides more complex technical research and analysis to support business operations needs and presents findings to management or project leader.
- Determines more complex best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
- Escalates more complex issues/conflicts to management as needed.
- Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with junior team members.
- Provides a more complex understanding the business usage of technology and helping technology add value to the business.
- May develop more complex test plans and perform testing as needed.
- May update tables as needed.
- Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 3 - 5+ Years’ experience in business systems analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
- 0 - 1+ Years’ experience reviewing and analyzing multiple complex data sources and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies.
- 0 - 1+ Years’ experience developing and maintaining data models and associated metadata to be forward engineered on the respective database platform.
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment; Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
- Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend process improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Industry Product Knowledge (IUL, VUL, Term)

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
