The Role


As the Sr. Consultant, Program Management Support, you will consult and deliver on complex programs/initiatives for the strategic Digital programs in Customer Solutions, a key component of a larger Lincoln initiative to expand Lincoln’s digital footprint. You will provide delivery oversight and delivery expertise on complex cross-departmental program with multiple project work streams utilizing a diverse combination of delivery methods including agile, iterative and waterfall. The role will communicate and liaise with stakeholders from across the business to secure resources, facilitate discussions/decisions, monitor program activities, and resolve issues.




  • Provide program oversight on initiatives that will translate strategic business objectives into actionable plans focusing on delivery and advancement of Lincoln’s Digital strategy.
  • Manages the delivery and execution of projects to ensure business capability is realized and cost, time and quality goals are met.
  • Understand and reports back key program challenges to the sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Builds and maintains strong strategic relationships throughout the Digital organization and across LFG to understand and validate that solutions and initiatives meet business needs
  • Provides direction & ensures project and/or program plans align and support the operational plans for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility and are aligned with LFG's overall business plans and specific strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and consults with management to understand the complex business needs and desired outcomes of programs and the individual project workstreams.
  • Manages expectations of various internal/external stakeholders and provides regular status updates.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on complex systems and processes and recommends improvements aligned to business needs and ensures project sponsors fully understand alternatives, requirements, and feasibility to determine the best viable option.
  • Collaborates with vendors to address complex and/or escalated system or process questions and concerns related to program deliverables.




  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)





  • 5+ Years program management experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • Agile methodology experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
  • Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior/executive management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
