The Role at a Glance

The Sr. Consultant – Life Business Management, will be responsible for driving key initiatives of the overall operating plans in the Life and Executive Benefits distribution organization. They will serve as channel subject matter experts to provide expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders and providing business & organizational insights to support the annual operating plan and strategic initiatives.

What you'll be doing

Partners with life sales leadership to develop and manage complex annual operating plans based on LFD’s strategic priorities.
Leads projects to achieve life sales’ overall annual goals and objectives.
Collaborates with the VP, Life & EB Business Operations to execute on the established operating discipline across the organization.
Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within life distribution.
Manages sales operational deliverables in partnership with internal stakeholders including Life Solutions, Finance, Marketing, and more.
Reviews business dashboards to identify new trends and recommends action plans.
Represents life sales at key internal and external business meetings and committees when necessary.
Identifies & implements efficiencies & standard operating procedures.
 

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves
5 - 7+ Years business management or product related experience in financial services.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines. 
Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend process improvements.
Demonstrates strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.  
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.  
Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.
Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances.
Ability to analyze complex information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
Evaluates trends in data or information.

Pay Range: $87,700 - $159,900 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
