General Purpose of Job

The Sr. Product Implementation Consultant, you will provide subject matter expertise and manage complex product driven implementations, including product development. This role includes leading broad groups, acting as the communication hub and influencing decisions. You will ensure successful implementation of the life new product releases via overall governance of all business and IT activities.  You will lead teams to ensure Firm readiness for various product actions and lead projects for Inforce Management with minimal oversight.  You will problem-solve, effectively negotiate compromises, build trusting relationships, collaborate, and managing people through constant change.

Duties and Responsibilities

Approves and signs-off on all product/rider and system enhancement implementations, as required.
Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Effectively negotiates to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of new products/riders and administrative / process enhancements.
Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies and plans for future enhancements to streamline and automate processes.
Influences business workflow and supports the development of and documentation of business processes.
Interacts and builds strong collaborative relationships with Product Management, Actuarial, Distribution, departmental staff, key business and IT partners and third party administrators.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Manages complex new product and rider initiatives and other product driven projects from inception through market launch. Activities can include planning, securing resources, monitoring and overall managing the projects through completion.
Manages department projects.
Mentors departmental staff and serves as a subject matter expert on product/rider features and concepts. Conducts trainings and prepares documentation and reference materials.
Monitors and controls internal and external budget for IT and business services.
Prepares and delivers complex, detailed business case documents, planning exhibits, metrics and other relevant materials; creating transparency into performance, status and overall health of the projects.
Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Understands business rationale and all processes to be able to navigate and advocate on behalf of Product Management.


Education & Experience

4 Year Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree (minimum required)

5 7+ Years of Insurance Industry experience. (Required )

3+ Years of Product experience (Required)  Life Insurance products (Preferred)

Experience with digital technology and digital transformation strategies (Preferred)

Experience working in an Agile Environment (Preferred) 


Work Arrangement:

Hybrid/Home : Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
