The Role at a Glance:

We are excited to bring on a Sr. Product Owner to Lincoln’s Life Solutions Downstream Integrations Team to work in our Hartford, CT or Greensboro, NC based office.  This position will be Hybrid/Home so will require 2 days/week in the office. 

Background Details
•Life Solutions launched an Agile Release Train for implementing new products earlier this year and needs a Product Owner for 1-2 scrum teams that are charged with building connectivity for downstream use.      

As the Sr. Product Owner, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction as a key stakeholder on complex projects & initiatives to deliver products that achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction.  You will translate and convey the overall business vision into technical requirements and tactics for specific products.  You will define and prioritize the product backlog and set quality standards for delivery while ensuring that complex information technology solutions meet the needs, goals and objectives of the business. What you’ll be doing:
•    Provides a complex understanding the business and product usage to contribute to the program vision and roadmap development.
•    Leads requirements gathering effort on epics and documents story details based on the epics.
•    Directs, advises, and collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to determine Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and goals for complex product offering(s).
•    Proposes solutions to stated business problems, assesses alternative solutions, and identifies gaps based on knowledge of the product and how clients use the product.
•    Translates and conveys the overall business vision into technical requirements and tactics for product development.
•    Collaborates with key stakeholders and/or management to gather and support prioritization of complex product requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate.
•    Serves as key decision maker on priorities of product backlog and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle.
•    Manages dependencies in and across sprints and releases.
•    Provides direction and collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects.
•    Provides subject matter expertise to clarify development requirements.
•    Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with more junior team members.
•    Leverage data to influence and measure the overall adoption strategy to ensure deliverables, ROI, and key objectives are met.

What we are looking for:

·    5 – 7+ Years of experience in Insurance and/or Financial Services in: Business Analysis, Project Management, or a product-related role within a development team that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. 
·    4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)     
·    Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
·    Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.
·    Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
·    Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
·    Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

·    Experience with the Scale Agile Framework either in a Product Owner role or other role
·    SAFe PO/PM certified
·    Understanding of the purpose behind the downstream data consumption for Life Insurance

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid/Home : Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
