The Role at a Glance

This role will provide leadership & expertise for the Group Benefit U500 product segment to strategically develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders and lead the execution of product segment strategy. You will serve as the primary point of contact at the executive level with segment stakeholders. You will partner with internal resources to advise on design of complex strategic programs & initiatives that address product segment needs. The role will provide functional expertise and effectively manage relationships with segment stakeholders to support Lincoln's business goals & objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Provides leadership to identify, develop, and maintain effective, mutually beneficial relationships and alliances within the U500 segment.
  • Develops and executes product strategy with segment stakeholders to facilitate a continuous stream of opportunities aligned to business strategy.
  • Advises senior management and internal stakeholders on relationship management strategies which optimize retention and satisfaction and achieve desired business results.
  • Shares segment stakeholders’ perspectives, goals, and drivers with internal resources to develop, implement, and lead sales & marketing programs that drive account growth & persistency.
  • Leads activities that drive achievement of mutually acceptable goals, growth targets, and ‘go to market’ strategies.
  • Translates complex questions & feedback from segment stakeholders to internal resources to facilitate development of product solutions & tools to meet partner needs.
  • In partnership with sales, account management and marketing, leads development and delivers presentations such as trainings and marketing/sales materials for segment stakeholder events, forums, and continuing education seminars.
  • Regularly provides functional expertise to segment stakeholders regarding key Lincoln Financial Group updates (e.g., financial results, key leadership changes, product development launches).
  • Directs reporting & analyses to monitor on-going value of segments/relationships and evaluate outcomes & effectiveness of relationship management activities.
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings with segment stakeholders; directs engagement with appropriate internal resources to research questions and drive resolution of issues.
  • Collaborates with market intelligence to identify industry trends and carrier developments to inform and shape strategic initiatives.
  • Ensures business developed on behalf of the LFG in an ethical manner that supports a positive company image, as well as complies with all applicable rules, regulations and company polices.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor's 
  • 10+ years product segment strategy, strategic partnerships, sales, and/or other experience directly related to the specific responsibilities of this role 

 
Nice-to-haves:

  • Under 500 Segment experience

Pay Range: $118,300 - $215,800 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
