The Role at a Glance:

We are excited to bring on a Consultant, Project Management to our SPO Group Protection Portfolio team in a hybrid home (work from home/in office) position.


In this position you will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for the assigned area(s) of responsibility including

establishing and leading complex enterprise wide, cross-functional initiatives.  You will lead different projects/programs including efforts to launch new products

and services, large scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades

and deployments. In addition, you will be responsible for engaging business units to work through the Business Organizational Readiness activities associated with project deliverables. We are looking for a highly energized and motivated individual to grow with our team and help drive value for our Group Protection business area.

As a Consultant of Project Management, you will lead complex projects to enable our business partners and customers to consume the technology and business process changes that we are implementing. You will lead these efforts from beginning to end and own the Business Operational Readiness activities to ensure that tasks such as training, communication, documentation, and processes/procedures are accomplished within the project timelines.

What you’ll be doing:

•    Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned areas of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborate with
      senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
•    Champion and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise
      initiatives within your assigned areas of responsibility.
•    Identify and recommend the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business
      unit for your assigned area(s) of responsibility.
•    Serve as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for your
    assigned areas of responsibility.
•    Consult/Analyze on more complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of your assigned areas of
•    Develop and execute complex effective project &/or program management throughout the project development lifecycle, including but not limited
      to: project planning, resource planning change management and communications planning, and managing changes to scope
•    Ensure that the project schedule is accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes and that it is well communicated across all impacted areas throughout the organization.

What we’re looking for


  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • 3 – 5+  Years of experience in Project Management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience with all Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Project Professional)
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables, bring groups of individuals together to solve complex, multi-faceted problems, and drive projects to meet strategic and tactical goals


  • Experience in managing complex projects that include both Business Organizational Readiness and IT related functions
  • General knowledge of Group Protection products and processes
  • Applied experience with Agile Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
