GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
 

This position will deliver on more complex marketing projects ranging from the management of Lincoln’s presence at industry events to general marketing in support of the Group Insurance Business.  S/he will act as a consultative resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders including for example, the sales organization, product, research and insights, practicing clinicians, compliance and external partners.  S/he develops and implements efficient and effective marketing plans that result in measurable business goals and drives market awareness of Lincoln’s Group Insurance products and services.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  •  
  • Serves as a consultative resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Manages Lincoln’s presence at industry events including but not limited to all exhibitor activities, speaking opportunities, the development of content for speakers, and event promotion.
  • Develops and implements product and service marketing plans, in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, which are driven by assigned area(s) of responsibility’s business goals.
  • Communicates marketing plans to the organization and ensures plans are understood by all stakeholders and team members.
  • Ensures marketing collateral content is accurate, relevant, and consistent in terms of style, quality tone of voice, and which optimizes market awareness of Lincoln’s products and/or services.
  • Utilizes resources to ensure marketing collateral is compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and consistent with Lincoln editorial and branding standards.
  • Analyzes and provides performance metrics to track and assess the effectiveness of assigned marketing plans to management and/or appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Manages marketing projects including but not limited to: project planning, communications planning, event planning, and ensures that the project plan is accurate, updated, and reflective of appropriate scope.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or journalism or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 3 - 5+ Years’ experience in marketing that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • Group insurance experience a plus
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Industry event experience a plus

 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Travel Type: National Domestic
  • Travel Amount: up to 25%
