The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on an Sr. Consultant of Business Metrics & Analysis position to join our Sales & Distribution Organization supporting Workplace Solutions in one of our key city offices within Dover, NH; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Phoenix, AZ or Omaha, NE offices. 

 

Background Details
As a Sr. Consultant of Business Metrics & Analysis you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and direction to design and implementation in-depth business analytics, metrics to support goals and objectives for your area over oversight.  You will focus on Performance Guarantees, and you will also support other Sales & Distribution Reporting and Analytics requests. You will collaborate with stakeholders, meet with Senior Leaders (Claims, Finance, Product, and Operations) and provide consultative advice and analytic support to advance growth and profitability initiatives and deliver meaningful business results. This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing

  • You will leverage metrics to support business objectives and achieve desired results while servicing as an analytics champion by educating the business to drive adoption and usage of data analytics to further business insights. In addition, you will provide subject matter expertise on analysis and use of tools and metrics to significantly affect the achievement of business goals. 
  • You will consult with management and business stakeholders on the use of quality business analytics, tools and market information for acquisition approaches and opportunities. 
  • You will collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to evaluate current state of data and develop tactical plans to improve data management and resolve technical challenges impeding data availability, quality, metric consistency and credibility.
  • You will create dashboards and scorecards utilizing existing and newly developed metrics and performance monitoring systems to provide management with quantifiable gauges of business results and impact of plans and tactical initiatives. 
  • You will review, critique and advise on technical designs/capabilities to recommend enhancements to various current systems or those under development. 
  • You will champion and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives. In addition, you will identify, recommend and champions process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality. 

What we're looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

  • 4 Year/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors). 
  • 5 – 7+ years of experience in analytics, including design & implementation of forward-looking metrics to support & optimize business objectives. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written).
  • Query language such as SQL
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

 

Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):  

  • Project management experience.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Experience with Dataiku
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 20%

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid/Home : Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
