GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
 

Interested in a career in Underwriting? Risk Assessment requires strong critical thinking skills to piece together information provided and find the answers for which you are searching. You will rely on strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills to thrive in this fast-paced, changing, and collaborative environment.
 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Develops an understanding of basic risk factors for application in daily work.
  • Provides timely and high-quality work to Underwriters, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Applies time management skills to prioritize deadlines appropriately.
  • Builds strong relationships with Underwriters.
  • Works well independently but also has strong skills working in a team environment.
  • Communicates effectively with internal/external stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Participations in various ongoing projects allowing insight into other areas of the organization.
  • Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Meets or exceeds departmental quality standards.
  • Applies knowledge obtained from the role in increasingly more complex situations and continues to acquire more knowledge to apply in role.
     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
