Role at a Glance:

As a Sr. Consultant, Advanced Planning Tools & Technology, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction to Lincoln Financial Group’s Field Advisors seeking technical or planning support. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to develop financial models, plans, and project materials using Lincoln approved software to support advisors' external clients.

What you’ll be doing:
•    Acting as a subject matter expert in design and debriefing meetings to identify case-specific observations and making appropriate recommendations to advisors.
•    Demonstrate what the planning techniques are so that you can successfully model them within the planning software and build revised scenarios that help the advisor visually show client outcomes and planning opportunities.
•    Reviewing, identifying, and communicating recommendations on complex and high net worth cases to advisors and other team members.
•    Utilizing Lincoln approved financial planning and investment planning software tools to create complex models for advisors' client needs.
•    Acting as the point of contact for field advisors and staff seeking technical and/or planning support from LFN's National Planning Center.
•    Providing direction and solutions to advisors on goal-based plans for their external clients.
•    Maintaining a national speaking presence at company-wide training events.
•    Coaching advisors on all stages of the operations cycle.
•    Directing training on financial planning and timely investment topics to team members, advisors, and office staff when necessary.
•    Collaborating and consulting with advisors and other team members to build complex financial plans and models to support external client needs. 


Series License-7 -Upon Hire

What we are looking for:

•    4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
•    5 – 7+ Years financial planning experience in the insurance or investment industry
•    Upon Hire Certifications/Licensures: (Series License-7)
•    Experience with planning software, preferably eMoney and/or MoneyGuide planning tools.
•    Strong technical skills in financial/investment/estate planning – build planning techniques and manipulate the software with advisors and potential clients to model solutions and illustrate to the advisor how to collaboratively present the solutions to the client to facilitate implementation opportunities.
•    Strong communication skills - communicate to our top advisors the benefit of our new collaborative planning process and how the planning tools will transform their current planning process.
•    Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
•    Ability to analyze complex information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
