The Role

 

 

The VP, LFN Business Development directs, manages, grows and implements sales services, solutions and tactics with an emphasis on consulting with strategic alliances and market access advisors on the values and benefits of the Lincoln Financial Network (LFN) life insurance, annuity, and specialty market insurance products.

 

 

Non-Negotiables:

Business Development; negotiation, market development, go to market material development, business planning, associate development, metrics, legal/agreement development and system development

Specialty Markets and Insurance; deep understanding of life and business insurance and the role it plays in strategic alliances and specialty markets (Foreign Nationals and Premium Finance)

Strategy, Relationship Management and Leadership; ability to define strategy across a diverse platform, maintaining and delivering on commitments to high-end clients/advisors, and continued development of teams

 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements business development strategies to grow life insurance, annuity and specialty market product sales through strategic alliances and LFN market access advisors.
  • Develops and implements strategies/solutions to retain highly productive LFN advisors to drive sales productivity.
  • Develops business development plans that identify long-term and short-term solutions to continue to grow life, annuity, specialty market sales.
  • Develops executive level dashboard with performance metrics that monitor business development initiatives and make recommendations/decisions based on results.
  • Engages with senior leadership to formalize business development initiatives and solutions that will drive sales across all products.
  • Leads business development initiatives to drive and increase enterprise sales through market access and strategic alliances that allows for growth and producer penetration.
  • Leads the execution of the value proposition to position and market LFN as a partner of choice.
  • Manages the logistics of proactive outreach initiatives to grow life, annuity and specialty markets market share in LFN to connect the business strategy to advisors in the field.
  • Sets the strategic direction for building and cultivating business development relationships with internal and external LFN stakeholders

 

Education & Experience

  • 0 - 1+ Years Experience with multiple insurance distribution platforms required (Required)
  • 3 - 5+ Years in the financial services industry within a broker-dealer, investment advisor, sales/or relationship management position that directly aligns with specific responsibilities for this position. (Required)
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
