The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring an  AVP, Financial Management to our Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Finance Team. As the RPS business continues to grow and evolve, Lincoln continues to invest in the talent of its Finance team with this critical and highly visible leadership role.  In this role, you will lead the RPS Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis team and act as a key business partner to leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. You will thrive on turning complex data into actionable insights, collaborate across the organization to drive outcomes, and champion a high-performing and inclusive team culture.  You will be at the forefront of evaluating our financial performance and leading insight generation to influence business decisions.  

What you'll be doing

  • Spearhead our planning and forecasting process with a focus on timely and accurate projections of business results and predictive insights and analytics to support strategic decisions 
  • Lead the quarterly earnings and financial close process, including the preparation and reporting of timely financial statements, management reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders 
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and nimble scenario analysis capabilities to support evolving business strategy  
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with corporate finance, investments, pricing and other support teams to achieve financial objectives and support key initiatives aligned with business strategy 
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement, standardization and best practices to streamline processes, develop sophisticated data-driven analytics, and increase speed-to-insight 
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of systematic anticipation, intellectual curiosity and insightful analytics to drive high business impact   

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:
- 10+ Years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or Accounting that aligns with the responsibilities of the role 
- 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience 
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with demonstrated experience developing teams, collaborating cross-functionally, and influencing senior management / critical stakeholders  
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex financial issues into clear, concise messaging for diverse audiences 
- Strategic thinker who can adapt quickly to changing priorities and preserve through challenges 
- 4-year degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience
Nice-to-have:
- CPA or MBA
- Retirement or related industry experience

The pay range for this position is $125,800 - $229,100 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
