The Role at a Glance

The Life Reinsurance team at Lincoln helps the company prepare for, onboard, and manage strategic reinsurance transactions across the Life Solutions organization. As the number of these transactions grows, we’re looking for a detail‑oriented, data‑focused actuary to help build the processes, tools, and workflows that make the organization ready for new deals and capturing sufficient context to ensure organizational resiliency. This person will play a key role in getting new transactions set up correctly, making sure teams across Lincoln know what’s needed, and helping monitor how our portfolio of treaties is performing over time.

You’ll work closely with deal leads and partner teams to translate treaty terms into clear processes, ensure data and systems are ready, and provide ongoing insights about how each transaction is performing compared to expectations.

What you'll be doing

•Onboard new reinsurance transactions, making sure the treaty terms, data needs, and system requirements are clear and well documented.
•Coordinate readiness with partners, helping upstream and downstream partners know what they need to deliver for a smooth go live.
•Build and maintain straightforward, reliable processes and checks that help ensure accurate reinsurance administration and reporting.
•Learn the background of each deal, including why it was done and what the expectations were when it was executed.
•Pull together historical details and model results to help set expectations for how each transaction should perform going forward.
•Help develop or update model tools that track settlements, financial metrics, and performance trends.
•Prepare and communicate clear reviews of transaction performance, highlighting insights for partners across Finance, Accounting, Valuation, and the business.
•Dig into issues when results don’t line up with expectations, working with partners to pinpoint what happened and how to fix it.
•Support teams across the organization by helping answer questions about deal intent, performance, and data.

What we’re looking for

•  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 additional years of relevant experience can substitute).
•  5–7+ years of experience in actuarial work, accounting, reporting, or systems tied to insurance or reinsurance.
•  Strong credentials preferred: FSA or ASA with additional years of experience
•  Experience developing models, processes, or system workflows—especially in environments where accuracy matters.
•  Strong problem solving skills, especially when dealing with incomplete or messy information.
•  Ability to take verbal or written instructions and turn them into clear steps and processes.
•  Comfortable working through unstructured problems and helping bring order and clarity.

Applications for this position will be accepted through June 15th, 2026 subject to earlier closure due to applicant volume.
