The Role at a Glance
The Analyst on the Funds Strategy & Analytics Team is a key contributor to the reporting and analysis efforts across Lincoln Funds Management team’s manager of manager’s platform which includes public fixed income, public equity, and alternative strategies. You will be part of a team responsible for providing reporting insights and analytics on current and prospective funds across Lincoln’s product lines including Annuities, Life, and Retirement Plan Services. You will be part of a team who oversees assets totaling $174B, $92B of which is Lincoln’s proprietary variable insurance trust mutual funds. You will regularly interact with senior management, Lincoln Variable Insurance Product Trust (LVIP) Board of Trustees, and Lincoln’s internal clients.
What you'll be doing
Research and Analysis
•Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate current trends and developments in current and future solutions.
•Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
•Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility in addition to routine reporting.
•Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
•Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
•Performs duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
•Remains current in profession and industry trends.
•Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: - Making suggestions for improvement - Learning new skills, procedures, and processes.
•Performs other duties as required.
Performance Measurement
•Ability to manipulate and extract data/trend analysis from large and complex data sets (excel, access, etc.)
•Use core analytical tools, both internal and external (e.g., Morningstar, Dataiku), that are used by the Funds Management teams.
•Help design and maintain portfolio analytics, risk reports, performance attribution, proformas, etc. for the investment backing Lincoln’s separate account products.
•Interest in and ability to utilize AI tools to automate workflows, analyze large datasets, and provide key insights (preferred).
Relationship Management
•Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
•Establish and maintain working relationships with key contacts across fund partner organizations.
Change Management
•Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within the Funds Management Team.
What we’re looking for
Education
•4 Year/bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) (Minimum Required)
Experience
•3-5 years experience in mutual funds and experience in manager/fund research and risk analytical tools (e.g., Morningstar, Lipper, FactSet, eVestment, Barra, Aladdin, or other similar tools).
•Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with ability to illustrate complicated information succinctly in slides and charts for the benefit of senior management.
•Demonstrated strength in written and oral communication. Ability to communicate investment concepts to a variety of audiences.
•Demonstrates strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
•Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
•A demonstrated record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations. Work hard and strive for excellence.

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
