The Role at a Glance

 

Our Life IT team is adding on an Application Developer to support our growing Development team. This position will perform and deliver on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of your assigned area(s) of application development responsibility. In this role you will develop innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support. You will also deliver business application software solutions following the system development life cycle process.
 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Good experience in Informatica PowerCenter 10.4, along with a strong background ETL skill for Data warehousing using Informatica.
  • Good experience in developing ETL applications and statistical analysis of data on databases SQL Server 2016 as well as MS Access.
  • Strong understanding of Data warehouse project development life cycle. Expertise in documenting all the phases of DWH projects.
  • Constructing and implementing software within a full stack environment (Front end, API, persistence, integrations)
  • Managing the full lifecycle of web application development; from designing, building, testing, deploying, to monitoring
  • Champion lean-Agile, DevOps principles and practices (e.g. CI/CD; you build it, you own it), and independent architecture, while supporting a culture of innovation and continuous learning
  • Performs technical tasks including estimating, analysis, technical requirements, design, construction and unit & integration testing following SDLC
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with Scrum Team and Leadership to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
  • Participates and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility 
  • Participate in AM and PM batch support according to a 4 person weekly rotation. 

 

What we’re looking for

 

Must-haves:  

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' experience Informatica PowerCenter 10.2, 10.4, along with a strong background ETL skill for Data warehousing using Informatica.
  • 3+ years of experience in application development that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Experience with relational databases like MS Access and SQL/PLSQL/Procedures/Triggers
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Delivery and DevOps
  • Experience developing data movement and engineering applications and worked on integrating disparate systems using ETL following SDLC and/or Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication, with demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in an "on call" environment.  

 

Nice-to-haves:

 

  • Experience with AutoSys job scheduler 
  • Experience with Business Objects 
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience working on fully dedicated agile teams.

Pay Range: $75,701 - $140,700 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
