The Role at a Glance
This position will support innovative business solutions by creating basic new applications and modifying basic existing applications and providing post production support. S/he will support the delivery of business application software solutions following the system development life cycle process. This role is part of Lincoln’s Emerging Technologist Program (ETP), a two-year early career development initiative designed to accelerate the growth of future-ready IT professionals.
What you'll be doing
- Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Analyzes, designs, codes, debugs, integrates and tests basic software application solutions for systems.
- Analyzes basic systems specifications of existing programs to determine requirements.
- Documents programs and procedures.
- Provides basic input to appropriate project team members/internal stakeholders regarding project plans, test plans and implementation plans.
- Creates basic technical specifications from business requirements/business specifications.
- Prepares and/or generates basic test data.
- Tests program changes thoroughly to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and IT to support and understand requirements and expectations to achieve quality technical solutions.
- Participates in the requirements, design and coding walkthroughs to ensure the development of quality solutions.
- Investigates and resolves basic problems including providing support for production systems in a timely manner.
- Proactively identifies basic problems and presents/develops solutions.
- Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and management.
- Ensures that basic system improvements are successfully implemented.
- Supports, applies and adheres to LFG standards and processes, including change management and project management methodology.
- Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
- Remains current in profession and industry trends.
- Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: - Making suggestions for improvement - Learning new skills, procedures and processes

What we’re looking for
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering (Minimum Required)

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
