The Role

This position will provide support for topics that have direct impact on the company’s compliance day-to-day operations.  S/he will be responsible for submission of business data requests, data review, and data submission to requesting regulatory authority to ensure compliance with laws. S/he will serve as the business divisions liaison to the internal market conduct exam team and responsible for proper documentation and reporting to leadership. S/he will have other compliance related duties as assigned.



  • Manage and prepare complex catalog of compliance reports within statutory deadlines
  • Collaborate with appropriate internal stakeholders to request and receive data necessary for compliance
  • Manage and assist with market conduct exam data gathering and submission to internal exam team
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
  • Work to understand complex company structure and evaluation of applicability of laws and regulations
  • Identifies complex risks and recommends remediation plans to management
  • Establish relationships with internal and external partners to foster a culture of compliance, focusing on group insurance compliance requirements
  • Assist with the creation of policies and procedures related to compliance topics that impact the company’s operations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary resource for statutory reports and market conduct exams
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Serve as a resource and consult with internal/external stakeholders on a broad variety of compliance matters/issues related to his/her assigned area(s) or responsibility



  • 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (Minimum Required)



  • 3 to 5+ Years of experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Ability to carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
  • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends
