As an Operational Risk Consultant, working with all lines of businesses, you will help support the continued development and implementation of the Lincoln Financial Group's Enterprise Operational Risk Management program with a concentration of Third Party Risk Management. The growing Enterprise Operational Risk Management team reports to the Chief Risk Officer and is focused on building and executing the operational risk framework across Lincoln. 

In this highly collaborative role, you will effect change and drive improvements by helping to identify, assess, and prioritize risks and develop processes to measure and report issues throughout the organization.

As part of high performing and growing team focused on Enterprise Operational Risk you will help to advance Third Party Risk Management organizational strategy through:
 

  • Building cross-enterprise processes that facilitate risk assessments, analyses, and mitigation (identify, measure, mitigate, monitor) management of our external relationships
  • Collaborating with risk assurance leaders ensuring key controls are adequate for mitigation and process owner obligations are met
  • Consulting and engaging with key stakeholders to provide a control analysis and recommends strategies for closing gaps based on best practices
  • Establishing effective working relationships throughout the organization, both at the corporate level and within the business lines
  • Implementing process improvements, governance, controls, and oversight
  • Researching and preparing briefings on status of key projects and initiatives
  • Developing analytics, performance trend and risk indicator reporting
  • Providing research, data analysis, and project support

Experience:

  • 3 - 5+ Years of experience in operational/third party/business risk management/audit in the insurance and/or financial services industry directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Demonstrated committed to personal development through further education/pursuit of certification
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution
  • Project management skills including the disciplined approach to coordinate and balance multiple projects

 
Technology:

  • A demonstrated affinity for leveraging automation to enable process efficiencies
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of process management or risk management tools such as Archer, ServiceNow, or other Governance, Risk, and Compliance platforms 
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tool

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
