The Role 

 

The Consultant, Sales Compensation, will perform and deliver on more complex assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. S/he will be responsible for the analysis and modeling of sales compensation programs. In addition, she/he will identify, develop, and recommend sales compensation process improvements

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Models and analyzes more complex sales compensation programs (e.g. rates & tiers) to be used by and shared with distribution.
  • Designs and builds more complex reports, (e.g. sales compensation, compensation plan analysis, contest tracking, quarterly and annual bonuses) by region, territory, role, and other qualitative fields as needed by leadership
  • Collaborates with distribution, finance, other stakeholders to research & develop metrics utilizing data from performance monitoring systems
  • Consults with management on sales performance results to evaluate effectiveness impact of more complex sales compensation plans/programs
  • Communicates with managers within distribution and finance; educates on more complex compensation plans and compensation data analysis
  • Analyzes the sales compensation process and recommends to management potential improvements to streamline processes, enhance operational
  • effectiveness, and reduce costs
  • Communicates to management and key stakeholders on financial implications of more complex sales compensation programs for assigned area(s) of
  • responsibility.

Requirements

Education

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)

Experience

  • 3 - 5+ Years of experience in financial analysis, sales analysis, financial reporting, or sales compensation that directly relates to the responsibilities for
  • this position (Required) specific responsibilities of the position.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and information
  • Strong curiosity and the ability to generate new ideas
