The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Business Continuous Improvement Director in our Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Continuous Improvement team. We are on an exciting journey to support the transformation of our business through continuous improvement of processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with the business and department leaders to identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through the application of lean, six sigma and other such change methodologies and tools. You will provide leadership and direction to achieve results and to plan, direct, and coordinate activities ensuring that goals or objectives of initiatives are accomplished within prescribed time frame achieving expected results. You will also ensure the implementation and adherence to standards and best practices for communication, documentation, and execution.

What you'll be doing

  • Provides direction & ensures project and/or program plans align and support the operational plans for assigned area(s) and are aligned with LFG's overall business plans and specific strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Directs the organizational focus on customer service at every touch point while simultaneously delivering operational effectiveness
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department
  • Directs and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards
  • Establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure group results for assigned area(s)
  • Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent
     

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 7+ Years of experience in Project Management, Process Improvement, and Change Management / Mindsets and Behaviors or experience in the financial services industry
  • 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches 
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding

 

Nice-to-haves:  

  • Lean 6 Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Retirement Plan Services business process experience
  • Change Leadership, value stream mapping and workflow experience

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
