The Role at a Glance
As an Events Specialist, you will act as a subject matter expert for the day-to-day planning and operations of programs, events, and conferences across the entire LFG enterprise. In this role you will develop and execute on large and complex internal and external meetings, events, conferences, tradeshows, and seminars that support firm and industry objectives across LFG. This role works closely with the AVP, Training for a specific business unit and must interface with senior level stakeholders on event strategy and key decision-making. This is a hybrid position working out of our Radnor, PA office.
What you'll be doing
- You will provide event planning and project management support to internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects by being proactive, strategic, and effectively influencing outcomes for in person, virtual and hybrid events.
- You will create and distribute complex program statements of work (SOW).
- You will coordinate roles and responsibilities for internal project teams across the enterprise for that support the successful completion of programs and events.
- You will provides preliminary budgets for client approval and monitors expenses to budget while planning all complex events.
- You will lead planner for all event logistics including project plan, planning meetings, registration, rooming list, food and beverage, audio visual, show flows, rehearsals, vendor management, off site events, continuing education, sponsor management, transportation, dinners and VIP arrangements.
- You will performs site inspections, as required, to ensure selected venues can meet client event and stakeholder requirements.
- You will acts as the liaison between compliance, legal, procurement, marketing, creative services and finance throughout the planning process.
- You will conducts vendor sourcing for DMCs, event platforms, AV, staffing, and other services including identification, negotiation, and contracting to meet specific client requirements.
Oversees post-meeting evaluations, sharing results with clients and tracking results for reporting purposes.
Maintains relationships with clients, vendors, onsite staff, meeting coordinators, and other partners to ensure the successful delivery of services to meet client expectations.
Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 1 - 3+ years of experience in conference and event planning management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- Experience building registration site in Cvent.
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.
- Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.

The pay range for this position is $55,700 - $100,200 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
