The Role at a Glance

As an Expense & Budget Management Analyst, you will provide expense and forecast input for the assigned area(s) of Financial Analysis responsibility. You will prepare, analyze and report on expense variances to one of our Segment Business Partners. You will also prepare, analyze and report more complex financial information and provide management with a more complex financial perspective.

What you'll be doing

• Partnering directly with business leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, expense management, five-year planning, and monthly/quarterly variance analysis.
• Collecting, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing financial information to deliver standard, complex, and ad hoc financial analyses that support business decision-making.
• Identifying financial issues and concerns, providing actionable insights to management, and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Communicating complex financial information effectively to diverse audiences.
• Driving automation, process improvements, and enhancements to financial processes and procedures.
• Monitoring emerging trends and developments, assessing business impacts, and partnering with management to incorporate new solutions and best practices.
• Championing and enhancing organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
• Serving as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders.
• Identifying and recommending process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.
• Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Performing and delivering on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of your assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Communicating to management on recognized trends of issues/concerns.
• Performing other duties as required.

What we’re looking for

• 3-5+ Years experience in expense mgmt. or finance directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this position.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Technical knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion, Anaplan, Excel, Business Objects
• Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and critical thinking skills, identifying the appropriate resources and tools to drive solutions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.

The pay range for this position is $84,375 - $135,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
