The Role

Lincoln Preparation Program (LPP) at Lincoln Financial Group is a two-year development program designed to prepare high-performing, college graduates for strategic roles within our company. As a program participant you have the opportunity to:

Duties and Responsibilites 

  • Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Partner with Project Managers to gather estimates, then build and maintain the basic project schedule in appropriate schedule management tool.
  • Provide resource management support by updating project resource allocations and milestones within the project schedule based on feedback from the Project Manager.
  • Create basic agendas for meetings, document issues, actions and decisions from meetings, and publish meeting minutes.
  • Create basic presentation materials for project kick off, status and steering committee meetings.
  • Assist in the collection, recording, tracking and analysis of project effort and basic financial information.
  • Maintain project issue, risk, decision, and change logs.
  • Maintain project artifacts in the project repository.
  • Assist in the collection of basic project metrics and the creation of portfolio dashboard

Positions will be located in one of our key city locations or in field offices nationwide. Key city locations include: Boston, MA; Dover, NH; Atlanta, GA; Philadelphia, PA; Radnor, PA; Hartford, CT; Omaha, NE; Fort Wayne, IN; Concord, NH; and Greensboro, NC. Relocation assistance may be available.

Requirements

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Demonstrated leadership skill

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Prior internship experience
  • Effective networking skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deal with change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to relocate for both rotations
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
