The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on a New Business Lead – Wellness to join the Workplace Solutions Customer Experience Team. This newly created role represents a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Lincoln's wellness strategy by identifying, evaluating, and bringing innovative wellbeing solutions to market.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will help define the strategic roadmap for our expanding wellness portfolio, assess emerging market opportunities, and build the business cases needed to secure investment and organizational support. You will partner across Product, Distribution, Marketing, and Customer Experience to identify unmet customer needs, source innovative solutions, and deliver offerings that strengthen our core business while unlocking new revenue streams.
This role will play a critical part in helping Lincoln thoughtfully expand into direct-to-consumer and adjacent markets, creating meaningful value for customers while positioning the organization for long-term growth. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, business development expertise, knowledge of the well-being ecosystem, and an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building something new.
What you'll be doing
- Shape the future of Lincoln's wellness strategy by developing and evolving a multi-year portfolio roadmap that aligns customer needs, market trends, and business growth objectives.
- Lead vendor sourcing, due diligence and negotiations activities for emerging wellness solutions.
- Assess and evaluate new wellbeing products, services, and strategic partnerships to address customer needs and strengthen Lincoln's value proposition.
- Develop business cases, market assessments, and executive presentations to support investment decisions and gain approval for new offerings.
- Partner with Product, Distribution, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Procurement teams to bring new solutions from concept to launch.
- Leverage customer insights, market intelligence, and industry trends to inform portfolio decisions, enhance customer experiences, and strengthen Lincoln's competitive position.
- Drive continuous portfolio optimization by identifying opportunities to enhance, expand, or retire offerings based on market needs and business performance.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 5 – 7+ Years in Marketing, Sales or Account Management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to communicate knowledgeable and credibly with senior management and internal constituents.
- Strong strategic and business acumen with experience influencing enterprise priorities, driving transformation, and aligning customer experience initiatives to organizational goals.
- Experience evaluating, sourcing, and managing third-party partnerships, vendors, or ecosystem solutions.
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
Nice-to haves:
- Exposure to direct-to-consumer (DTC), B2B2C, or marketplace business models.
- Experience launching new products, services, or business ventures from concept through commercialization.
- Familiarity with financial wellness, mental wellbeing, caregiving, navigation, lifestyle, or digital health solutions.

The pay range for this position is $96,900 - $176,200 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
