The Role at a Glance

As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Product Management activities of your specific Product Area. In this role you will support, lead, and participate in initiatives related to specific Investment Products that are available to Lincoln Financial Network (LFN) Financial Professionals, with the goal of having a robust and diverse product lineup that ensures competitive parity and meets end investor needs. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Product Partners and Financial Professionals as needed for new products and product updates. #LI-REMOTE 

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for certain product management activities for your assigned product area

• You will participate and lead specific strategic initiatives of your product area, inclusive of supporting product strategy, development of business cases, performing product analytics & insights, and conducting competitive analysis.

• You will have responsibility for product launches and existing product support.

• You will collaborate with other functions within the organization (Legal, Risk, Operations, Managed Account Sales, etc.) as well as interact with Financial Professionals.

• You will collaborate with internal Investment Consultants to assure the team is providing relevant product insights that enables the team to deliver best in class advice.

• You will manage the onboarding, implementation and launch of products, including digital presence, communications, and relevant value proposition.

• You will build and manage relationships with relevant product partners.

• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

• Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• Identifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• Provides technical product information and support with an increasing level of knowledge expanding appropriately with job responsibilities to guide content in marketing materials, contract and prospectus language, and reviews final content and language for accuracy.

• Assists in the creation of plans that support life product campaigns as well as product development and implementation in the launch of new products/riders/services for the business line.

• Presenting to Product Committee and corresponding departments on new product initiatives.

• Collaborates with key internal partners through as needed in workgroups, advisory committees, meetings, and presentations.

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves: 

1 - 3+ Years Experience in the financial service/insurance industries with exposure to product development and implementation. 
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) 
FINRA Series 7 License - 180 Days upon hire 
FINRA Series 63 or 66 License – 180 Days upon hire 
Experience with Investment Products in a product management, due diligence, oversight, or sales capacity. 
Ability to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned Product Area. 
Ability to work with others in a team environment; Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style. 
Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

Pay Range: $51,900 - $89,800 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
