The Role

The Sr. Analyst, Business Architect will be responsible for supporting and providing subject matter expertise on the evolution and elevation of the Business Architecture practice at Lincoln Financial Group. This practice is part of the organizations Enterprise Architecture function, and will report directly to the AVP, Business Architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Builds complex project and capability roadmaps to define a path to move from the current state to an optimized future state to support business strategy.
  • Define, deliver and maintain requisite Business Architecture Roadmaps and Analysis Views.
  • Define, deliver and manage requisite Business Architecture models and related metadata, i.e., covering Capabilities, Goals, Strategies, Assets, Programs/Projects, Value Streams, Processes, etc.
  • Develop and maintain the business capability model. Participate in the design, review and detailed documentation of each iteration.
  • Effective use of the companys Business Architecture Methods and Best Practices
  • Effectively collaborate with the companys Innovation practice.
  • Ensure that strategic business goals are developed and documented. Agree and document (and refresh as necessary) the business target architecture, and ensure it is accepted by the business.
  • Identifies and maps projects and IS requests to the business capability model to determine areas of over/under investment.
  • Participate in the Definition, Assessment, Management and Evolution of the Capability Portfolio
  • Partner with the business to develop business cases supporting the business demands, ensuring alignment with IT applications and strategic platforms
  • Perform Assessment and Analysis work to drive Business Architecture stakeholder engagements.
  • Successfully lead and deliver consulting engagements with Business Architecture Stakeholders.
  • Support the complex delivery of IT investment roadmaps for each major business area of Lincoln Financial Group
  • Support the development and delivery of strategic programs with business-wide impact, on time and within budget.
  • Supports the development and implementation of new technology by creating the roadmap from which action can be taken, and the ability to design and deliver new technology.
  • Works with IT and business stakeholders to design program plans and mobilize execution and serve as the linchpin that keeps both IT and business stakeholders on the same page throughout delivery of the program.

Education and Experience

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 5 – 7+ Years of experience in Business Architecture that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)

  • Travel Amount : up to 50%
