The Role at a Glance

The Business Analytics team is a newly created function under Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in the Corporate Finance department.  This team is tasked with shaping the future of how the department interacts with data to gain insight into our financials and make informed data-driven decisions.  As a Senior Analyst, Power BI Developer, you will be a vital contributor to help drive and execute on the architecture of this new platform.  The role will lead the development of reports, models, and other technical tools using the Power BI platform to support the department’s goals and strategic objectives. 

What you'll be doing

  • Research, analyze, and understand business requirements in context of business intelligence and key performance indicators. 
  • Implement, maintain, and support BI data solutions in Microsoft and other BI platforms. 
  • Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insight and action. 
  • Utilize Power BI to build interactive, visually appealing, and informative dashboards and reports. 
  • Build and run DAX queries and functions in Power BI. 
  • Develop and maintain strong documentation on assumptions, underlying reports & data, and processes/approach. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise on best practices using Microsoft BI Stack while maintaining knowledge of current and emerging trends of the ecosystem.  

What we’re looking for


  • 5-7+ years of experience in data analysis developing business intelligence and reporting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with the Power BI ecosystem (Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service, Power BI EmRbedded). 
  • Strong experience with Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) and other BI stack of technologies. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing data models to meet reporting requirements. 
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail and accuracy with demonstrated strong logical and technical problem-solving skills. 
  • Able to troubleshoot BI reporting and analytic business needs and provide solutions for issue resolution. 
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail. 
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information. 

Nice To-Haves: 

  • Experience in Financial Reporting or Public Accounting.  
  • Experience with Apache Spark (Python, R, Scala). 
  • Experience with other Big Data technologies.

Pay Range: $87,700 - $159,900 


Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
