The Role at a Glance

The Sr. Consultant, Business Resilience Management, will support the contingency readiness and response efforts across the enterprise. This contingency role will work with the AVP, Business Resilience to ensure all business units and the enterprise have the ability to respond to any unplanned contingency events. The individual will partner with the business on the development, maintenance, exercising and execution of incident and crisis management plans. The Sr. Consultant will be responsible for working closely with enterprise teams and business units to develop and deliver an industry leading Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery response program.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Monitors for potential service disruptions to Lincoln and its employees and raises awareness to Business Resilience leadership.

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 5+ Years of increasing risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management experience. (Required)
  • Requires flexibility to respond to urgent matters outside of standard working hours.
  • Expected to maintain early East-Coast business hours

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.

  • Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior/executive management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
  • Experience with emergency notification and situational awareness software (Everbridge)
  • CBCP or ABCP (Preferred)

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
